Wood Jasmin by BDK Parfums is a refined, sensual, and animalic amber fragrance that combines the mystique of wood with notes of jasmine, tobacco, and vanilla. Created in the heart of Paris on the Rive Gauche, this scent is both modern and sophisticated.
Wood Jasmin opens with an intriguing boozy accord that gives way to a warm balsamic jasmine. Oud and plum add a sweet, addictive quality, enhanced by labdanum and incense. As the fragrance evolves, vanilla and patchouli take over, transforming Wood Jasmin into a delightful gourmand experience.
Note from the perfumer, Camille Leguay
"The original idea was to create a perfume with oriental nuances, rich in vanilla and an addictive quality imparted by fruity and full-bodied notes like davana. The journey to the East is represented by the effects of Somalia incense and myrrh, which evoke a mystical atmosphere. Wearing this fragrance makes you feel like a Prince or Princess of the East, in a beautiful and sumptuous palace. Egyptian jasmine and Turkish rose absolutes pay homage to the oriental characteristics of that part of the world. Notes of tobacco and liquor derive mainly from davana and cyrpiol nagarmotha, giving it a retro feel."
