Where do pine trees come from?
Pine trees belong to the Pinaceae family, an extensive family of conifers with more than 200 species. In addition to the pine, the silver fir, larch, hemlock and spruce also belong to this family.
These trees are found throughout the Northern Hemisphere. In the more southern regions they are restricted to the colder mountain regions.
All parts of this tree smell, the needles, the resin and the bark all have their own distinctive scent.
Pine trees are often brought indoors around Christmas because of the wonderful scent they spread. In this collection you will find perfumes in which one of these conifers has been used and which plays an overtone.
What does pine smell like?
Aromatic, resinous, green, slightly eucalyptus-like.
