Ganymede by Marc-Antoine Barrois is extremely elegant, a true high-quality, modern compliment-getter, made by perfumer Quentin Bisch. In this now iconic perfume, Bisch once again uses the suede-leathery notes that previously made B683 a beautiful classic. These leather notes are lifted thanks to mandarin and osmanthus, after which a salty mineral facet of immortelle appears in the dry down. The entire composition of Ganymede plays with contrasts and contradictions.
When creating this perfume, Bisch and Barrois fantasized about Ganymede: a rocky satellite of Jupiter discovered in 1610 by Galileo that is both luminous and covered in saltwater oceans. The planet got its name from Greek mythology: a young man, Ganymede, was kidnapped by gods who were so enchanted by his beauty that he was offered immortality.

Leather
Discover the multiple facets of leather in perfumes. Think of the smell of a leather jacket, a pair of suede shoes, the inside of a leather bag, or an old Chesterfield… Leather gives a luxurious, seductive and elegant touch to the fragrance. But it is also dark, robust and slightly animalic which makes this smell mysteriously tantalizing.
