The fragrance takes its name from the traditional drink of the island. To capture this sparkling tradition, Marc-Antoine crafted an innovative accord of vine leaves and lees, giving the perfume subtle notes of rose and eau de vie—a combination rarely seen in perfumery. The addition of citrus notes infuses the scent with a lively, bubbly character. Iris plays a symbolic role, referring to the "angel’s share," the portion of alcohol that evaporates from a wooden cask during the aging process. The musk and wood in the base add depth and warmth, much like a fine wine.

Perfumer Marc-Antoine Corticchiato drew inspiration from the island of Corsica for all the fragrances of Parfum d'Empire. With the L'Héritage Corse collection, he captures different aspects of Corsica in their purest form.
