Under no circumstances will we ever pass on or share your personal information with third parties for commercial ends. The only information passed on will be to our courier who handles shipment of your purchase and the financial provider who handles your transaction/payment of this purchase.

In order to enable you to purchase the product of your choice as quickly and efficiently as possible, you can register with us (make an account). In addition to your name, address, email address and possibly telephone number, information regarding your purchase history, encrypted payment details and delivery information is kept.

You have the right to ask for your personal data at any given time, to change it or to delete it. If you have an account and are registered with us, you can easily do this online directly via the little person icon in the righthand corner.

We keep your data on file for as long as there is an active customer relationship and or conform our legal obligation. Should you wish us to delete the data at given time, you can inform us and we will conform within 4 weeks.

Our e-commerce data are located on a secured server and firewall. 
Credit card transactions are protected by a so-called secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with an AES-256 encryption. Payment details when using your credit card are encrypted through Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). We are certified to ship perfume to over 80 countries worldwide. Free shipping is possible when your order value reaches a certain amount. Find your personal shipping costs on this page. We pack every order with care and after shipment you will receive your Track &amp; Trace to track your parcel.
IATA &amp; shipping perfumes by air
Most perfumes contain alcohol and are therefore potentially flammable, they are classified as Dangerous Goods and follow very strict regulations from IATA (International Air Transport Association). Specific packing, labelling and documentation is required for sending perfumes by air. Fortunately, the team of Perfume Lounge is trained and certified to ship perfumes worldwide to over 80 countries. The surcharges for IATA regulatory shipments are calculated in the shipping price.
Customs and duties
Customs, duties and taxes for shipments outside of the European Union are excluded.

Perfumer Amandine Clerc Marie, well known for her rework of Chloé (2007), has been familiar in the world of perfumery as long as she can remember. The French perfumer designs lively, creative works of olfactive art that are never predictable. For MDCI, Marie created the romantic Peche Cardinal. A tropical floral with tuberose and peach; warm, soft and sensual. A fragrance that lingers on the skin that settles into a soft woody base of sandalwood and cedar.

Amélie Bourgeois is a rising star in the world of perfumery! With perfume master Monique Schlienger as mentor, Amélie learned the ropes of creating perfumes. Bourgeois worked at Cinquième Sens for 7 years. Together with Anne-Sophie Behaghel, she started her own independent perfume studio, Flair Paris. Bourgeois has various perfumes to her name, of which one is the elegant Laskarina from Frapin.

Anne-Sophie Behaghel studied science and medicine in Paris before joining fragrance company &amp; training centre, Cinquième Sens. She learned the ropes of perfumery under the wings of Monique Schlienger and has worked at Firmenich and Symrise until she co-founded her own independent perfume studio, Flair Paris, with Amélie Bourgeois.

Anne-Sophie Behagel

Annick Menardo has been working for Firmenich since 1991. Many famous perfumes have been made by her, such as Patchouli 24 by Le Labo, Bois d'Argent by Christian Dior and Lolita Lempicka. She has completed a perfumery study and has a background in biochemistry and medicine. After her studies she worked at Créations Aromatiques, where she was mentored by Michel Almairac: a great inspiration for her earlier work.

Annick Menardo

Antonio Gardoni, architect and autodidact perfumer, has a unique avant-garde style. To quote Gardoni: "I work at night when the light doesn't adulterate the chemicals and when the smells of the day disappear to leave space to new experiments of shadows." Antonio Gardoni compares his perfumes to rooms that need to be discovered. Will you join him on a journey of discovery?

Arturetto Landi has traveled all over the world for his training as perfumer: from New York, Tokyo, Paris, Vienna to Dubai in 2005. In Dubai he became head perfumer for fragrance company MANE.  Landi's opulent, complex and composed fragrances are described as a grand opera for the nose.

His inspiration does not only come from his childhood on the Italian Riviera and from his father, a chef, but his inspiration also from far away places, especially the smells from Arabia.

Bertrand Duchaufour is considered one of the leading contemporary noses.
As master perfumer, his creative process follows two fundamental principles:
First, he believes that balance is achieved through opposites attracting each other, like yin and yang.
Second, he states that nothing is lost or created; everything is transformed. His style of perfume making is distinct and versatile.
Bertrand works as independent perfumer for a number of niche perfume brands.

Perfumery runs in the DNA of Céline Ellena. Being the daughter of the perfume legend Jean-Claude Ellena, Céline mastered the skills of perfumery too. Fit for the challenge Ellena took a bold step in 2004 and successfully took over her father's position at the Different Company. She has left her signature on the brand and created favorites as Pure Eve and Oriental Lounge.

Each fragrance is a story that begins with “once upon a time” for Christine Nagel. Determined to make her dreams come true, Nagel started her prosperous career as perfumer at the age of 35. She has created numerous successful perfumes since. Nagel is interested in opposing sensations, take the sweet chypre Miss Dior Cherie, for example, or Narcisso for Her in collaboration with Francis Kurkdjian.

Prior to working for Hermès, Nigel created Une Nuit Magnetique for the Different Company, available at the Perfume Lounge.

Christophe Laudamiel is an award winning master perfumer, known for his innovative and high-end perfumes. He is the nose behind Fierce (Abercrombie &amp; Fitch), Polo Blue (Ralph Lauren) and Tom Ford, among many more.

Christophe is not only a great perfumer, but also an educator and lecturer, eager about explaining the world of perfumes to the general public.

You will find many of his creations at Perfume Lounge, such as Strangelove NYC and Humiecki &amp; Graef, and his very own brand The Zoo.

Clement Gavarry is a French perfumer living in New York since his early 20s, a city where there's constant newness and energy that inspires him for his creations.

Clement Gavarry is the fourth generation of his family to work in the perfume industry. It was his father, renowned perfumer Max Gavarry, who opened up the world of fragrances to Clement, engaging him to really get in contact with nature and all the green smells it has to offer.

Cecile Zarokian is an independent perfumer based in Paris. She has been working in the industry for over 15 years and started her own company in 2011. Today she has created over a hundred perfumes for various brands in the European, Middle Eastern and Latin American perfume market.

Dora Baghriche once had dreams of writing and becoming senior field reporter. That was before she fell in love with the world of perfumes.

Dorothée Piot is the nose behind phenomenal perfumes: Amouage Memoir Woman, Lalique Noir collection, and of course, her creation for the Olfactive Studio Chambre Noire. Dorothée is based at Robertet, a fragrance house especially well-known for its expertise in natural perfumery.

The humble and talented perfumer Émilie Coppermann believes in the power of dreams. She is a free-spirited and inspired creative who has made a name for herself in the world of perfumery.  Her creations exude a certain naturalness, a subtlety, that is versatile and elegant.
For the last 9 years she has created perfumes for The Different Company, for whom she created all the perfumes in the L'Esprit Cologne line, including the beautiful perfume Al Sahra, a soft amber with a surprising twist.

“I want to formulate with my hands, I want to get dirty, to touch and to smell, to really follow my nose and have a much more intimate and primitive relationship with nature." This is the motto perfumer Ernesto Collado lives by. With his honest and unusual fragrances, he creates 100% natural and unfiltered perfumes. By deliberately not filtering the fragrances they preserve their natural aspect. You can see this in small particles in the fragrances, pure nature.

Ernesto Collado Sala elevates his love for hiking and nature into perfumes, inspired by the smells from nature only. How does a hike through Northern Spain smell like during fall, winter, spring and summer; the forest, the trees, the grass, the flowers, the salty breeze from the sea coast from miles away?

It is Sala’s mission to capture these smells during his walks into a fragrance. With this he creates 100% natural and unfiltered perfumes. He deliberately does not filter the molecules or ingredients to preserve their natural aspect. Whereas other perfumes are clear (colored) fluid, you can see that there are small particles drifting in Ernesto Collado Sala’s perfume.

In the series Landscape Scents he captures three places and seasons. CALA, the coast in BOSC, the summer full forest and in MUGA a spring walk along the river of the same name.

Bravanariz means "brave nose" in Spanish. The subtitle 'smelling wild' captures exactly what the charismatic actor and perfumer Ernesto Collado does. Literally capturing the natural scents of the pristine landscape of north-eastern Spain.

Euan McCall is a Scottish perfumer from Edinburg. He has created perfumes for cult brands (such as Neandertal) and now runs his own brand Jorum Studio with his partner Chloe Mullen. Their perfumes are contemporary and unique, and to quote McCall: "It is so important for us that each Jorum creation is new, original and of quality which we hope ultimately progresses the narrative - we aren’t interested in trends or trying to copy existing works. We do Jorum and hope many people enjoy what we do."

Francesca Bianchi's perfumes have gained a reputation for being sensual and provocative, all unusual, powerful and distinct extrait de parfums.

Francis Kurkdjian hardly needs any introduction: this famous perfumer already made a name for himself at the age of 26 when he created the international best seller Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male. The following decade, Kurkdjian worked for prestigious brands, including Dior, Elizabeth Arden, Versace, Yves Saint Laurent, alongside collaborating with private clients.

After working with big brands, Kurkdjian embraced a new opportunity and in 2009 he started his very own perfume house: Maison Francis Kurkdjian. Perfume Lounge was at the launch of this beautiful brand in Paris and was proud to introduce his brand to the Netherlands as very first.

Kurkdjian is versatile and creative. He elegantly combines two cultures of his French-Armenian heritage into fragrances with a natural richness. The collection of Maison Francis Kurkdjian is like a perfume wardrobe for different moments, emotions and moods.

Francoise Caron (1949) attended perfumery school at a time when the field included very few women. Caron created Ombre Rose for Jean-Charles Brosseu in 1981 and is still considered a classic in modern day's society.

Germaine Cellier, born early 20th century in France, was a female perfumer and pioneer at the time when men dominated the perfume industry. Cellier was known for her outspoken character and her innovative mindset. Unimpressed by conventions, she created bold and groundbreaking fragrances for Robert Piguet, Balmain, Nina Richi and of course, all-time classic, Fracas (1947).

The Canadian perfumer Hiram Green creates and produces artisanal fragrances made exclusively from natural ingredients. After his discovery that almost all perfumes include synthetic ingredients, it became Hiram's mission to solely create perfumes based on all-natural ingredients. He sources (sometimes extremely) precious natural ingredients from all over the world and makes his perfumes by hand. Hiram's perfumes are best described as intense, lush and expressive.

Jakub Florian Hiermann is the perfumer for Pigmentarium. Together with creative partner Thomas Ric they realized their dreams and started the Czech perfume house in 2018.
Influenced by Czech history and culture, Hiermann's inspiration can come from really anything, from a book, music, a picture, architecture or even a love affair.

Jean Jacques worked for 22 years at Takasago, this Japanese company is one of the largest producers of fragrances and flavorings in the world. Here he created perfumes such as Piano Santal for L'Orchestre, Gentleman Only by Givenchy.

In our collection we enjoy the signature perfumes of master perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena for The Different Company. Over the years Jean-Claude has numerous leading perfumes to his credit, including First for Cleef &amp; Arpels, Terre d'Hermès (2006) for Hermès and the beautiful Bois d'Iris (2000) for The Different Company.
Jean-Claude Ellena is especially loved and known for his entirely unique elegant style of sober and minimalist formulations. Achieving more with less ingredients, here we recognize his craftsmanship!

Jérôme Epinette is a senior perfumer at Robertet Fragrances in New York. He began his career in 2003 and has an extensive list of niche perfumes to his name, like Byredo, Atelier Cologne, Vilhelm and Olfactive Studio. He is known for his short and simple formulas that exude elegance and class. A man of the senses, Jérôme is also a talented cook and loves to blend different flavors with traditional French cuisine.

Josh Meyer enjoys the refined things in life: whiskey, literature, haute cuisine and music. After he discovered the fascinating world of niche perfumes, he taught how to make perfumes himself by spending hours in his laboratory, researching and improving them.
Josh works closely with his creative director Ashod Simonian, together they write the storyline before launching a new perfume.
Josh's laboratory is located in Portland, Oregon, America.

In the perfume you can smell the leather of Wellington's saddle, the gunpowder of the cannons and a hint of the rum and tobacco that were plentiful aboard Wellington's ship.

Lorenzo Villoresi, originally an Italian researcher in Antique Philosophy, found his calling as perfumer after his many travels to the Middle East. The rich variety of flavors and fragrances inspired him to distill essential oils, which eventually led him to creating fragrances. Villoresi won the Prix Francois Coty, the most prestigious reward of a perfumer's artistic career and he won it as the first independent perfumer!

The most beloved scent from Lorenzo is Teint de Neige. A unique, and very powdery perfume.

When in Florence, a trip to Lorenzo's atelier and perfume museum at Via de Bardi is certainly a place worthwhile visiting. He works from his family home, which has a wonderful view over the river Arno. Next to his house, Lorenzo opened a beautiful museum, including a fragrance garden full of scented plants, flowers and trees, and lots of facts about perfumes.

Luca Maffei is a young Italian independent perfumer with already more than 50 perfumed creations for mainstream and niche brands, scents for rooms and candles. He has his own company, Atelier Fragranze Milano.
His perfume Black Pepper &amp; Sandalwood by Acca Kappa and Néa by JUL ET MAD Paris received the 'Golden Pear' award in The Art and Olfaction Awards Independent Category in 2015.

Marc-Antoine Corticchiato is the founder and master perfumer of Parfum d'Empire.
Corticchiato grew up in the beautiful Mediterranean green maques of Corsica, where is his roots lie, and at the countryside of Morocco, between citrus trees where his parents cultivated land.

Out of fascination for flora, Marc-Antoine studied the secrets of scent production in aromatic plants. In quest for the best possible natural plant extracts, Corticchiato set up a production unit for essential oils in Madagaskar. And after years of laboratory research and creative work, he launched his own independent company Parfum d'Empire.

Through his perfumes, Marc-Antoine Corticchiato expresses the fleeting moments of emotion conjured by blends of the most beautiful raw materials.

Mathilde Bijaoui is a perfumer at MANE: the first French group and one of the worldwide leaders of the Fragrance and Flavour industry. She was inspired by perfume at a young age during a visit to the Osmothèque. Now, she is known for a number of famous fragrances such as Etat Libre d’Orange’s Tilda Swinton Like This.

Maurice Roucel was working as a chemist in Chanel's laboratory in 1973 when he began his career as perfumer. He was the apprentice of Henri Robert, who was at the time the house perfumer at Chanel. Roucel learned the ropes and discovered the world of Haute-Parfumerie. Since then, Roucel has been awarded prestigious prizes such as the Prix Francois Coty in 2002 and FiFi, or "Oscar des Perfumes." He is a master perfumer whose creative work is characterized by opulent sensuality – sprung from his preference for musk, white flowers and amber.

Michel Almairac is recognized as one of the world's leading perfumers. He began his long career as perfumer after joining the legendary Roure Bertrand Dupont Academy (perfumery school that is now part of Givaudan) in 1973. He was "the nose" for fashion brands such as Dior, Burberry and Gucci. And worked for Bottega Veneta and Zadig &amp; Voltaire, among the other many brands he created perfumes for.

Today, he is the owner of Parle Moi de Parfum. A brand he launched with his two sons to incorporate his own scents and style. The exquisiteness of his haute perfumes are a pleasure to smell!

Mylene Aleran grew up in the south-west of France and was fascinated by scent from an early age. After studying chemistry, she started at Robertet: a French aroma and flavor maker specialized in natural raw materials founded in 1850. Since then she has made many perfumes, including Ombre Indigo for Olfactive Studio.

Mélanie Carestia made the perfume Betrothal for Grossmith. Betrothal is a refined, modern, elegant and magical scent. Betrothal was originally created in 1893 to celebrate the royal engagement and wedding of Queen Mary and King George. The released editions was made for the wedding of HRH Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton.

Nathalie Lorson was born in Grasse and has been surrounded by perfumes all her life. Her father was a chemist at Roure Betrand Dupont (now Givaudan, one of the largest international perfume companies). She trained to become a perfumer at Roure and then worked at IFF and currently at Firmenich. With dozens of successful and beautiful perfumes to her name, she is undoubtedly a master of her art.

Master perfumer Olivier Cresp works at Firmenich and is the co-founder of Akro Fragrances. It came as no surprise to anyone that Olivier would enter the perfume business: his family history is deeply rooted in perfume. Both his father and grandfather bought and sold natural raw ingredients in Grasse. It was quickly decided that Olivier would work with perfume just like his family. However, he did not start his journey in France, but in the United States where he now works for perfume house Firmenich.

Olivier: 'I was literally born in to the world of perfumes. My family heritage introduced me to the “pure colours” of perfume since my childhood. I developed my olfactive memory during that time and a real passion emerged. I’m always on a quest for beauty, for a certain aesthetic. Once the aesthetic is found, I focus on its strength and unforgettable trail.'

Patricia de Nicolai, owner and perfumer of NICOLAÏ, is praised by Luca Turin as "one of the unsung greats in the world of perfumery", and we fully agree. A pioneer in niche perfumery, Nicolai took the courageous decision to launch her own independent perfume house back in 1989. She builds on a tradition of elegant French perfumery and uses refined natural raw materials with a chic personal style. Because of her striking creativity and craftsmanship, Patricia was the first woman to receive the Best International Perfumer award from the French Association of Perfumers in 1988.
Her perfume New York by Nicolai is rated with 5 stars by Luca Turin as 'one of the greatest fragrances in history'. Also her home fragrances (room sprays, scented candles, bamboo sticks) are much loved for their quality and longevity!
