In crafting this perfume, Francesca Bianchi sought to explore the very mechanics of emotional response. How can scent evoke a memory, a sensation, or a moment of intensity? Like a mechanic fine-tuning a powerful engine, Francesca carefully places each note in order to trigger specific emotions — i.e. the intensity of passion of lovers, a memory of the smell of skin, a sense of nostalgia for an imaginary place, etc. By doing this, she has composed a fragrance that is both emotionally charged and beautifully wearable.
And fun fact: as a personal challenge, Francesca Bianchi deliberately avoided iris-like accords and kept animalic notes to a bare minimum, using only a touch of clean musks for a refined, modern finish.

The Italian perfumer Francesca Bianchi started with her first creations in 2016. Luca Turin rated her Angel's Dust with 4 stars! At the age of 28, her fascination for essential oils started. This grew out to be a true passion which she converted into creating perfumes. We enjoy working together with this extremely passionate and crafty perfumer. With great pleasure we co-created Cuir Soyeux, a limited edition creation by Francesca, to celebrate our 10 year anniversary.

Fougere
A traditional fougère is characterized by citrus top notes, an aromatic heart of lavender, roses or geranium that lay on a bed of oak moss and hay smelling coumarin. The name Fougère stems from the original perfume Fougère Royale, created in 1882 by the iconic perfumer Houbigant. As Houbigant said at the time, "if God had given ferns a scent, they would have smelled like Fougère Royale."
