Poivre Sacré by Caron is an explosive composition where the spicy freshness of pepper bursts open in contact with incense.

Black pepper, recognizable by its fresh, invigorating, woody notes, immediately expresses an invigorating power. The base contains a powerful mix of warm spices (saffron with leathery notes and cumin) and fresh spices (coriander seed and nutmeg). Both aromatic and woody.

Elemi resin from the Philippines provides an ideal transition between the spicy top notes and the woody heart notes of incense that linger in this mysterious fragrance. Poivre Sacré is darkened by the labdanum (a warm amber resin) and patchouli (woody and smoky). Poivre Sacré reveals warm and powerful aromas reminiscent of oriental scents with precious and captivating oudh.

Poivre Sacré is aptly named as a subtle nod to the perfume’s origins. A must-try for all lovers of incense in perfumes!

Black pepper, Guaiac wood, Coriander, Cumin, Cistus labdanum, Patchouli, Rose, Saffron, Incense

Since its founding in 1904 (!), Caron has been the lead example of pure genuine passion within the classic French perfume world. The founder Ernest Daltroff was one of the pioneers in perfumery. Together with his creative director and maîtresse, Félicie Wanpouille, Daltroff created legendary fragrances including Narcisse Noir (1911), N’aimez que moi (1917), Tabac Blond (1919) and Pour un Homme (1934). Since 2020, businesswoman Ariane de Rothschild and perfumer Jean Jacques determine the course of Caron. They combine their shared love for fragrance, luxury, and tradition to bring the house of Caron into the 21st century. In addition to a focus on the classics of the brand, they create contemporary perfumes of the same exceptional quality.
