Onder de Linde by Baruti is a sweet, milky, happy and colourful fragrance, with limeflower as a star ingredient.  The famous portrait The Milkmaid was as a source of inspiration for the perfume: “Previously also known as Melkmeisje, I started working on the perfume from a brief to interpret a work of art from the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam into an (art)object in another discipline. I choose the painting Melkmeisje (The Milkmaid) by Vermeer as it is an iconic work of art and millions of people come to Amsterdam every year to see it.  Also, I thought it would make for an unusual perfume as the light and the objects depicted hardly qualify for your typical perfume brief.
