Facts about yuzu

History
The fruit is mainly found in Tibet, China, Japan and Korea. Where yuzu has been used for centuries. In Japan, several varieties of yuzu are grown,hana yuzu “flower yuzu “yuku, a sweet variety, andshishi yuzu “lion yuzu”. Yuzu has a very aromatic taste and smell. The fragrance is between lemon and lime, with an almost floral note. In perfumes, yuzu is often used for those refreshing, floral qualities. The fragrance is fresh, dry, slightly bitter resembling grapefruit.

– In Japan, there is a tradition of bathing with yuzu at the winter solstice “Tōji”, as the scent of yuzu is known to be very beneficial and relaxing.
