Orange blossom, neroli
The applications of these two scented ingredients of the (bitter) orange tree go back for centuries.
Neroli smells citrus-like, slightly bitter, warm, sunny and romantic. Even though neroli and orange blossom both originate from the same tree, and even the same flowers, they turn into two distinct perfume ingredients due to the difference in manufacturing process. Neroli can be described as a bit fresher and less heavy than orange blossom. Orange blossom on the other hand is a bit sweeter and heavily-flowered by nature, and it slightly resembles the rich fragrance that jasmine has.
