Gris Charnel by BDK Parfums embodies Parisian sensuality. In this fragrance, which comes in a convenient 10 ml travel spray, the softness of fig, iris and cardamom is combined with the creaminess of sandalwood, tonka bean and smoky vetiver. The sensuality comes from this warm skin effect, made possible by the fig and black tea at the top. The result is a woody, powdery and addictive scent.
Gris Charnel is like a stroll under the silver moon along the quays, alone or accompanied, facing the Seine. Note from the perfumer, Mathilde Bijaoui: "In the heart, the powdery clarity of iris absolute challenges the tenebrous essential oil of Cistus. This play of lights is balanced by a light-dark trail born of sandalwood essential oil, mixed with bourbon vetiver and tonka bean absolute."

Located in the Palais Royal in Paris, BDK Parfums has been crafting unique fragrances since 2016. Founded by David Benedek, whose family has been entrenched in the perfume industry for generations, the brand's creations epitomize passion and character. BDK is committed to quality and authenticity: each scent is meticulously curated without predetermined formulas, utilizing artisanal techniques and premium ingredients. The perfume collection resembles a contemporary bookstore, housing an array of scents, each narrating a distinct story. Furthermore, every detail reflects French craftsmanship, from the bottle to the packaging. The iconic bottle cap, inspired by the Grand Palais dome, is handcrafted by a traditional goldsmith, while the bottle itself is crafted by a master glassmaker in Normandy.

Mathilde Bijaoui
Mathilde Bijaoui is a perfumer at MANE: the first French group and one of the worldwide leaders of the Fragrance and Flavour industry. She was inspired by perfume at a young age during a visit to the Osmothèque. Now, she is known for a number of famous fragrances such as Etat Libre d’Orange’s Tilda Swinton Like This. "It's as if perfume and smells were imposed on me from my early childhood. I was very attracted to smells, I could smell absolutely everything that came in front of me. It could be in the kitchen, objects. My parents would point out that I could smell everything. And in fact from the moment I realized that perfumery was a profession, I went for it.” - Mathilde Bijaoui
