(nb: En Avion will be take out of the Caron collection unfortunately)
This is what adventure smells like! Created in 1932, this is an ode the first woman pilot Amelia Earhart who crossed the ocean.
Ca Fleure Bon: "En Avion captures this breed of adventuresome woman and their lust for life as it's a floral perfume that doesn't attempt to be demure. En Avion opens with a waxy spiced neroli that feels thickened like the oil that lubricates the mechanics of the plane. It's pretty, but it's contained under the weight of a leather aviator’s jacket that feels like it's absorbed all the grit from the leather seats to the wood that that makes up the plane's structure. There's a weighty spice that appears as if during the journey a pit stop was made to a small landing field where the pilot rested for a while in a shed used for a an office filled with smoke and drink. Eventually, En Avion settles down into a beautiful jasmine floral as if the plane has ascended into the clouds and the journey becomes one between the heaven and earth."
Quote from a review by BoisdeJasmin:
''The carnations linger for hours on your skin, and while the perfume changes gradually from a spicy floral to a dark, worn-out leather jacket (with lots of moss and earth woods), the initial spark lightens things up.''
One of the most beautiful perfumes made by Caron.
A unique olfactory signature
Since its founding in 1904 (!), Caron has been the lead example of pure genuine passion within the classic French perfume world. The founder Ernest Daltroff was one of the perfumers who formed the perfume industry and whose influence is still noticeable nowadays, just like Jacques Guerlain and Ernest Beaux of Chanel. Together with his creative director and maîtresse, Félicie Wanpouille, Daltroff created legendary fragrances including Narcisse Noir (1911), N’aimez que moi (1917) and Tabac Blond (1919). The aromatic Pour un Homme (1934) is seen by many French as 'the' classic fragrance for men.
A new creative tandem
Since 2020, businesswoman Ariane de Rothschild and perfumer Jean Jacques determine the course of Caron. They combine their shared love of fragrance, luxury, and tradition to bring the house of Caron into the 21st century. In addition to a focus on the classics of the brand, they will launch contemporary perfumes of the same exceptional quality.

I love classic ladies' scents and Caron has very beautiful ones. For me personally, En Avion stands out in a positive way. Floral, spicy, really delicious.
